The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for handball in Europe with 50 member federations and two associated federation (England and Scotland). Founded in 1991, the EHF has its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The federation is responsible for the organisation of high-profile competitions including the Men’s and Women’s EHF European Championships for national teams and the VELUX EHF Champions League and Women’s EHF Champions League for club teams. Additionally, the EHF is responsible for player transfers, referees and delegates, beach handball as well as development and education programmes.
